The Robodry 25 is designed to dry every part of a painted vehicle, as well as individual parts on stands.
It is typically installed inside a spray booth for drying wet-on-wet sealers, waterborne coatings, and clear coats.
The Robodry 25 comprises one overhead crane and three groups of radiant panels. This allows it to dry paint using its radiant waves on every side of the vehicle and parts on the stands. The horizontal group of radiant panels moves automatically up and down to maintain the proper distance and shape for the vehicle and its spare parts. The radiant panels along the length of the spray booth emit Drytronic waves that spread out across the surface of the painted vehicle.
Robodry 25 features a built-in database of configurable drying parameters for various paint brands, including wet-on-wet sealers, waterborne coatings, and clear coats. The technician selects the formula, and the robot automatically manages the drying treatment for distance, color, paint thickness, speed, and temperature. The automatic adjustment and control of the treatment are based on a temperature laser connected to the PLC. The laser constantly monitors the quality of the drying process, and the PLC adjusts the power to set the proper parameters based on the drying formula.
The Robodry dries every brand of paint; its drying speed is approximately 80 linear cm or 32 linear inches per minute. For example, it dries the length of a vehicle’s door in under two minutes or a paint job on three to four panels in 10 to 15 minutes. Since Robodry 25 consumes approximately 90% less gas than a typical spray booth, the reduction in drying cost is one of its many advantages. The efficiency of one painter using one Robodry 25 is eight paint cycles per day; it dries approximately two or three times faster than a classic spray booth.
