Auto Body Repair and Paint Spray Booth
The FixStation is an all-inclusive body shop solution that offers a contemporary and innovative approach to achieving high productivity and quick turnaround for one or two-panel repairs.
It is a versatile hybrid solution that combines the functionalities of a spray booth and a workstation in a single location.
With this unique setup, a single technician with multiple skills can efficiently carry out an average of three to four repairs per day without the need to move the vehicle. As a result, it enables a remarkable turnaround time of one repair every two to three hours.
Within the FixStation, technicians can efficiently remove and install parts, perform dent repair, apply body filler, spray primer, as well as apply and dry waterborne or solvent-based basecoat and clear coat. It provides all the necessary tools and facilities for a technician to complete these various tasks in a convenient and efficient manner.
For a complete and efficient body shop setup, the FixStation can be equipped with several components. These include:
1. FlyDry Robot: the inclusion of a FlyDry robot, ensures efficient and effective drying of paint on repaired surfaces, enhancing productivity and reducing drying time.
2. Vacuum Sanding System: the integration of a Vacuum Sanding system helps capture and contain dust and debris generated during the sanding process, promoting a clean and safe working environment.
4. MultiBox with Plugs and Retractable Air and Electric: the inclusion of a MultiBox equipped with plugs and retractable air and electric connections allows for easy access to power and air supply, facilitating seamless operations and minimizing clutter.
Optional components that can be considered include:
– CarLift: the car lifter provide convenient access to the underside of vehicles during repairs and maintenance. While not essential, it can greatly enhance efficiency and workflow within the FixStation.
Symach’s PowerLED light system, integrated into the FixStation, offers remarkable illumination for the vehicle, ensuring optimal visibility and an accurate color reference during detailed paint application.
This booth incorporates advanced technology and automation that can recognize the specific painting phase being carried out. As a result, the system automatically adjusts its ventilation program accordingly.
FixStation is available in multiple configurations including length and height variables, pneumatic side doors and much more.
The FixStation uses the FlyDry to dry paint.
> For the drying performance, please refer to the FlyDry catalog.
The FixStation is available in:
– two different lengths: 7 m or 23 ft and 8 m or 26.2 ft,
– two different heights: 3 m or 9.8 ft and 3.5 m or 11.5 ft,
– with one pneumatic side door,
– with plenum inlet air, and
– with warm air using the Solarys heating system.
The FixStation’s computer automatically manages the three different programs without an operator. It not only selects and pushes the buttons, but it also automatically increases the speed of ventilation when the filters are dirty. The programs:
Spraying / This program uses 80% of the total ventilation and automatically starts when the painter uses the spray gun and stops when the painter finishes spraying. This guarantees that the maximum consumption of electricity and gas is only for the time needed to spray.
Drying with FlyDry robot /This program uses 40% of the total ventilation to remove the gas and solvent produced during the drying treatment.
Climatization /This program is available only in the version with inlet warm air. It uses 30% of ventilation and starts automatically when one of the phases previously mentioned ends. This program offers clean and warm air to the painter when preparing the car to be painted.
The FixStation side panel is a tubular-welded frame. Inside the booth, there is a powder-coated metal sheeting; in the middle, there is 5 cm or 2 ” of insulation and on the external side, there is the CoverTop, an ABS plastic panel available in eight different colors.
The ceiling is a tubular-welded frame that supports the filters, which are divided into six different boxes that are easy to open to change the filters.
The basement is 50 cm or 20 ” deep and the standard grids support a weight of 850 kg or 1,870 lb per point of 10 ” x 10 ”.
The Fixstation has a front pneumatic door and an optional side pneumatic door that opens and closes vertically to help avoid any dust movement.
The FixStation standard model has a ventilation outlet with a fan of 20,000 m3 per hour of 705,000 CFM. The inlet air is from the plenum taking air from inside the warehouse.
The FixStation uses PowerLux, an innovative lamp developed by Symach’s research department. It offers superior lighting performance and has a new and exclusive reflector that focuses the light beam with an angle that covers the car from the roof to the vertical bottom side without any dispersion. This new light reaches a quality and power superior to other lights on the market, both on the vertical side of the car as well on the horizontal side, which is very useful to the painter.
The outer covering of the FixStation is made of CoverTop panels, made in ABS injection plastic mold that can be opened and closed, allowing installation and/or repair of any electrical or air lines inside the FixStation wall.
