When Dave Niestroy was a teenager, he had a passion for repairing cars. Over the years, he built a business in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that has grown to include seven locations. Symach Installs State-of-the Art Equipment in Axalta’s New Customer Experience Center in North Carolina Symach is currently installing its state-of-the-art equipment in Axalta’s new Customer Experience Center (CEC) in North Carolina, which is currently being built and scheduled to open in 2017. “Symach is thrilled to have a technical and professional working relationship with Axalta,” said Osvaldo Bergaglio, Symach’s CEO. “With a paint manufacturer, such as Axalta, embracing Symach’s revolutionary DryTronic drying technology and equipment, this is a testament to Axalta’s desire to continually create a competitive advantage and differentiated service offering for their customers.” In September 2015, Axalta announced that it would construct the CEC to serve the company’s refinish, light vehicle OEM and industrial customers. Located on the campus of Hendrick Motorsports just outside of Charlotte in the heart of NASCAR® racing, the new facility will offer the latest in customer training and development programs. Axalta’s new center will include the following Symach equipment: • Two custom-designed SprayTron paint booths with pneumatic side glass doors. Each SprayTron is equipped with a Robodry curing robot and can be operated as a standard booth as well as be used as a production line. • Two prep/primer bays, each with its own FlyDry robot for curing of primer. • Two sanding bays, each with its own Symach Vacuum Sanding System. • Two complete CarMover rail systems for effortless car movement in the training environment. • Power and air are supplied to the bays through two Symach MultiBox solutions. The MultiBox solution is a dispenser for compressed air and electricity with plugs and automatic reels enclosed in a single cabinet. • Bay lighting is supplied through Symach’s ModulLight solution. Symach has announced that Chad Seelye has been appointed to the role of vice president USA for the Italian-based company, effective Oct. 3, 2016. In his new position, Seelye will work in collaboration with the team in Italy to educate the US market on Symach’s unique high-quality European technology and equipment, which includes its patented FixLine process.“We are excited to have Chad on board with Symach and demonstrate how US shops can be more productive and deliver excellent service to their customers by utilizing our technology and equipment,” said Osvaldo Bergaglio, CEO of Symach. “His 18 years of experience in the collision repair industry will be fundamental to body shops across the nation.”Since expanding to the US market two years ago, Symach has set up five new body shops across the North American market. As European Autobody prepares to relocate their 2,800 sq. m. (30,200 sq. ft.) business in Ontario, it is incorporating an entirely new repair process into the facility—Symach’s FixLine system. The collision repair shop specializes in repairing Ferraris, Maseratis, BMW, Ford and other luxury brands, and plans to move to a larger facility in Etobicoke the first quarter of 2017. “Every collision center, big or small, should look into these products, do their research and see that Symach is a feasible way to be successful,” said Manuel De Luca, manager of European Autobody. After learning about Symach from a colleague, Lorenzo D’ Alessandro of CSN 427 auto collision in Ontario, De Luca spent time researching the FixLine system and watched several YouTube videos about the Italian-based company. “I was intrigued almost immediately and knew right way this is the future and we had to be part of this,” he said. “We strive to be ahead of the curve, which changes just as fast as it comes, in order to provide our customers and partners the best repair procedures and services available.” ....

Erie-LaSalle Body Shops principals-Bob, Jim and Jay Gottfred, announced the addition of a third location in the Chicago market. Erie-LaSalle is a family owned and operated multi shop repair center founded in 1934. Erie-LaSalle’s new facility is located in the River West neighborhood of downtown Chicago. It will the first shop in the United States to employ the Symach European repair process. This process integrates precise scheduling, repair planning, state-of-the-art repair and refinish procedures-enhanced by patented gas catalytic [Drytoronic] robotic drying .
The 12,000 s/f shop plans on producing 65 vehicle per week which will be fully automated with the Symach Fixline system consisting of a conveyer-type production process and 5 robots. These robots drastically reduce drying times of all substrates, body filler, primer, paint and clear guaranteeing rapid cycle delivery time and a flawless finish. Symach has delivered at the end of last year, the new FixLine body shop to Dennis Bogemans in Brussels. The body shop was designed and built entirely by Symach with FixLine formula for the repairing of 120 cars a week; Symach has also trained all staff for the new working process. The bodyshop has one FixLine KombiTron with 2 Easydry and 2 Flydry for a production of 20 repairs per day and one FixStation with Flydry for smart repairs and commercial vehicles for a production of 4 repairs per day. Dennis last week confirmed its full satisfaction as it has been performed the installation and training for its staff, he also confirmed that the benefits are already evident in productivity and fast key to key working with the FixLine process. Symach in December has moved into new premises of 160,000 square feet in: Via Bazzane 69 - Calderara di Reno (Bologna) Italy. From March will be open also the new showroom and training center of 20,000 square feet which will be installed in all the products in operation, including the FixLine SprayTron 10 paint jobs per day and FixLine KombiTron 20 paint jobs per day, in addition to FixStation for one panel repairs and the entire line of ShopLine furniture for bodyshop. Symach delivered 15th of May this year a new shop for Gemini group in Wacol Brisbane Australia, it is the 5th body shop realized from Symach for Gemini in the last 24 months. This shop is the biggest in Australia, it can repair 190 repairs per week, 38 per day, it is realized using FixLine formula and we have the segmentation of repairs dividing damage into three different processes; • One panel - 2 FixStation with 2 technicians multi skills for a production of 8 repairs per day, • 2-3 panels - 1 FixLine KombiTron for 20 regular repairs per day with 15 technicians. • 1 FixLine SprayTron for 10 repairs per day more than 4 panels including not drivable car with 11 technicians. The new shop is equipped 100% of Symach products and will work using SPAP process, so the key to key time will be 1.5 days average, one of the best qualities and service in Australia.

The modernization work on the new factory bought by Symach in 2011 of 173,000 sq. ft. in Calderara di Reno (Bologna) it is started again in these days (11 May 2015), after being suspended in 2012 as a result of the economic crisis. The new factory will be ready by October 2015, where by December will be transferred offices and production. The old factory of 43,000 sq. ft., also owned by Symach will be leased to Toyota Handling from 1th January 2016. The new factory is part of an investment program of 7 million euro started 3 years ago for the expansion of the production department.

Symach has sold the first bodyshop in Burlington (Toronto) to CARS of Nick DiLuca, partner of CSN, a group with more than 330 bodyshops in Canada. The new bodyshop will be operational in November and will be built entirely with the Symach equipment and with the FixLine formula. The process of preparation, painting and drying are automated with Symach robots. The new bodyshop will repair 50 cars a week, reducing the cost of repair around 25% and reducing the key to key time to 1.5 days on average for more than 80% of the repairs. Osvaldo Bergaglio I know well Nick and I would say that we also became friends in the past three years; in fact, Nick spent last three years, comparing our equipment and our formula of bodyshop with those available on the market. Once all the checks done, Symach is resulted the best in knowledge in design of the repair process, as well as for quality, cost and aesthetic design of the equipment. I personally started a little over a year ago to promote Symach in North America and this first result is very important to guarantee us a bright future, which is why I am investing in Toronto with the opening of a Symach store for the sale of products and for maintenance service because I want to do the best for my friends because from several years i have not only customers but friends.... Symach is delivering its first shop in Riyadh to Elite Automotive Alliance (EAA)- another VW dealer recently launched. EAA has three facilities so far being at King Abdullah Road, khurais road and At exit 17 respectively. The new bodyshop is designed with FixLine formula which can produce 50 repairs per week with a key to key time of 2 days average for 85% of the repairs, all drivable cars. Fixline is the modern concept with new layout and repair process in terms of productivity, quality and service. It uses three different repair and layout processes,based on the number of panels to be repaired. In this manner, EAA's service system is capable of optimising repair times and reducing labour costs by as much as 4 to 5 hours for each repair. Moreover, this new shop is just the first step of a bigger one, this because FixLine is also modular concept and so in the future it is possible to expand to 120 repairs per week. Led by Mr. Kamal Hajj, the director of after sales, and having the full support of the company’s managing director, Mr. Faisal El Sief, EAA is going to have the first Symach body center in the region with the automated system that surpasses the number and speed of repair of any conventional body shop. This is the third bodyshop delivered to Gemini in Sydney alone and the first to kick off 2015! Symach is supporting Gemini in its strong development plan in Australia with the opening of many new state of the art facilities scheduled in 2015. The Sydney facility has been remodeled using the latest in Symach equipment and will be fully operational by February, the new shop will produce about 60 repairs per week using the FixLine repair process. The new shop using FixLine repair process will deliver a considerable reduction in the repair costs and a massive reduction key to key time to 1.5 days on average for all drivable vehicles. Bilskadesenteret Bodyshop in Tromso Norway has chosen Symach FixLine formula for 70 repairs per week, buying a FixLine SprayTron with Robodry, Drybox and Flydry for roll primer application and in addition a FixStation for 20 repairs per week of one panel same day key to key delivery. Symach has realized for AMBRA in Brescia (Italy) first bodyshop with the formula of FixLine KombiTron and FixStation for a production of 125 repairs week. Symach already supplier of AMBRA since 2001 and in the last five years also as a technical consultant for training, organization and processes, has actively contributed to the industrial growth and professional alongside at all stages of the transition from craft to car bodyshop industry. Today, thanks to Symach, AMBRA is able to offer average delivery time of 1.5 days for 80% of repairs, it can produce at least 25 repairs per day in a shift, having the operating cost 25% less than a conventional bodyshop compared Italian benchmark. AMBRA has repaired in 2014 more than 3000 cars having a plan to rise to 10,000 by mid-2016 opening other 4 shops, according to the contracts and agreements with customers in place.

The FixStation is a product and process which allows one panel damaged to be repaired without moving the car. In the FixStation a technician starts and ends the repair for all stages of: disassembling, panel repair, body filler, primer, painting, reassembling and polishing. The FixStation is a spraybooth with air extraction in which you can repair the panel, welding or spotter, apply and sanding body filler and primer, painting and drying water base and clear. The drying is made with the Flydry that using technology Drytronic dries a panel of stucco, bottom, water base and clear in less than 2 minutes, allowing the technician to work continuously without waiting for flash off and drying. The FixStation is also equipped with its own paint mixing room and a BoxMultiservice with compressed air, electricity and vacuum sanding machine, all to make the technician totally independent without wasting time for displacements. Into FixStation a generic technician, in easy way, can repair four damages per day of one panel, a repair every two hours, for example; a fender, a door, a bonnet or a bumper that it can be repaired and painted without disassembling and reassembling from the vehicle. The FixStation is a station where takes place throughout the repair process and is self-sufficient because has every equipment inside, it can be installed in bodyshop but it is also a smart solution for car dealers and centers of fast repair.

Symach is honored to announce that CARe the biggest body shop companies in continental Europe (64 body shops) has chosen for its new car body shop FixLine Symach formula. To CARe, few weeks ago, has already been delivered in Belgium the first body shop, FixLine 50 repairs a week model, the body shop was realized directly and entirely with Symach products. FixLine is a new process for car repair that reduces labor time by 40% compared to the conventional body shop and reduces customer key to key time to 2.6 days average. FixLine is a mix of advantages coming from Drytronic technology, painting cycle SPAP, drying robots, and a new layout that reorganize the repair process reducing the car movement to three for the whole repair process.

Symach informs customers that on its website they can find the e-learning course for Drytron. Symach will publish courses on the use of each machine model and the use of the paint application process SPAP within the next 3 months, this new service will help our customers to properly use our products. The course is open to all customers and is divided into chapters that include text, videos, exercises and tests, at the end of the course will issue a certificate of approval.
